Title Design

  • The movie title we have picked is "Unfriended"
  • The title will be in a bold, spooky looking font and will appear on the screen for 3-4 seconds and it will fade out. This title will take up most of the width on the screen, to ensure that the audience will see it. The color we chose was black because it stands out the most.
  • The other titles will be in a different font from the film title, to make the film title stand out more. The other titles will be a normal everyday like font. They will also be black and will appear on screen for 2-3 seconds depending on the title.
  • Every title, not including the film title, will appear in the bottom right corner of the screen. It will only take up a small portion of the screen, so that it won't distract the audience from the scene, but it will also be big enough to be read. The titles will fade out after their 2-3 seconds on screen.
  • The name of the studio is "Berry Studios" and the production company is going to be "Four Girls Pictures"
  • The next title to appear on screen will be the actors names. The actors names are going to be "Dara Sedaka and Violet Roberts"
  • Next the film title will appear, followed by the music, edited by "Siena Pancera", produced by "Parker Merrick", story by "Dara Sedaka and Violet Roberts", and written by "Dara Sedaka".
  • The last title that will appear on screen will be the directed by title. It will appear in the last 2 seconds of the film. The director is going to be "Siena Merrick"

Genre Research: Vivarium

  The movie  Vivarium  (2019)   is a thriller/mystery movie. This means it has conventions common for both of those genres. However, I will be focusing on the thriller genre.  Camera Angles, Movement, and shots: This film showed many gods' view angles in order to show the strange eeriness of the settings the characters were trapped in. This makes the audience also feel trapped and scared for the characters. The director also made use of close up shots. the focus of the characters' emotions in these shots lead the reader in the direction that there may be something wrong. There are many things that make a genre clear to what it is. For example, the genre drama has usually always has these factors to it. Camera angles: Close up: Drama films often have close ups to show the expressions of the actors.  The close up makes it clear on how the actor is feeling through their expressions. It can make the scene more dramatic and express the intensity of the scene. Long shot: Long shots can set the scene for the viewer. They can show the background and give insight to what might happen in the scene, but they also keep some of the focus on the main character.  Over the shoulder: This type of camera angle can show the POV of the character which could be an object or another character.
