Music Video

Our music video:      We are done! This was my second time filming with this group. Just as the first time, everything went really well! There are some minor things I would change, but there is with every project. I have grown a lot as an editor and actor during this filmmaking process. The editing process was the most challenging for me. It was also the most fun however. I loved watching how our music video came together. This was a good learning experience for me. I look forward to filming our next project.

The Final Edits

Today we finished up our editing. This editing took longer than last time because we were editing a bigger chunk of the music video. The video was still around 25 seconds over. I started to cut out some of the part where we are playing games with friends. My group mates and I thought this was the best part to cut out because we could use less of it and still get the effect. We made sure to cut from different parts of this scene so we would not one big specific part. After cutting some out we were only 15 seconds over. The next part we decided to edit was the part where I fall over and hit my head. We cut out a few seconds of the part where I was walking to the tripping point. This made this part run smoother. After watching it through we decided to zoom in on my face further when I was on the ground. This made it easier to tell that I was asleep. We then added our music. This was the easiest part of the whole editing process. It took a minute or two to download onto the video. Once we

Editing Day

Today we started editing! I first added all of the videos to the editing platform. Siena and Maria ordered them in the way that we wanted them. After that we began to edit out unnecessary parts or parts that weren't supposed to be there. Once the first round of general editing was done, the video was around 2 minutes long. For the general editing, we just looked through the video and clipped out obvious parts. Such as when we were talking about filming or our re tries. We then went into deeper editing for the beginning part of the video. Siena suggested we cut some of the table scene out. I clipped out some of the parts where I was looking distressed about the test grade, because there was a lot of it. Maria also suggested that I sped up the zoom in part to my head. It was a good idea, but when we tried it, it looked a little strange. So we kept it this clip normal instead.  We cut out some parts of us walking to the beach because it was taking up too much time. Every couple of ed

Beach Day Filming

Today we filmed the rest of our video. We are filming at the beach and in various stores. I was wearing the same clothes as I did the first time we filmed. I also gave my phone to Siena to film. Once getting to the beach we started to pick out the spots we wanted to film. Maria suggested a sidewalk and we walked around trying to find a good spot. I had the idea to ask a stranger to film a part of it. They filmed the tracking shot of us walking down the sidewalk. Siena suggested that we film with ice cream. I offered that we went to Kilwins Ice Cream. Once we were there I got a rainbow ice cream because I thought that the fun colors would be best for our video. The most challenging part of the filming for me was filming the part where I had to fall and hit my head. It was difficult to make the trip and fall look realistic. But Maria and Siena helped to make it look more realistic by creating a little pile in the sand for me to trip over. My favorite part of filming was getting the ice

Filming Time!

My groupmates and I filmed the first part of our music video today. We wanted to do the intro first, to set the scene for the rest of the video. We decided on filming on my kitchen table. I first thought maybe the desk in my room would be a good option. But upon looking around I figured the table was bigger and that would be easier to work with. I was going to be the actor in the video. Maria brought the fake failed test papers. I decided to wear normal day clothes because that is what I would be wearing if I actually was looking over a test. Siena was going to be doing most of the filming. She used my phone to do it. The hardest part of filming this scene for me was trying to act defeated over the test. As I am not an actor, this was challenging. Maria provided some helpful tips for me to try to help me look more defeated. One of the tips was to put my head in my hands. This worked really well. My favorite part of filming this was when I got to pretend to fall asleep. We had to re fi
